S.1 Discretionary Places


Application for S.1 Discretionary Places 25-26


  1. Application period:

2nd January 2025 (Thursday) to 16th January 2025 (Thursday)(Tuesday)


  1. Office hours:

Mondays to Fridays, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Saturdays, 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.


  1. Application procedures:

Please submit the following documents:

a) A Completed Application form of Our School for S1 discretionary places (This form can be collected from the general office or downloaded from the school’s website https://www.clsnp.edu.hk);

b) Application form for S1 Discretionary Places issued by the Education Bureau;

c) Photocopies of P.5 and P.6 school report cards;

d) A photocopy of the Hong Kong Identity Card;

e) A recent photo (write the name at the back);

f) 1 stamped addressed envelope;

* Applicants do not need to submit reference letters.


  1. Interview :

All applicants will be invited to attend an interview between February and March 2025.


  1. Criteria and Weighting for the selection of Secondary One students:

  • Academic results 30%

  • Conduct 30%

  • Co-curricular activities and Achievements outside school 20%

  • Interview Performance 20%


  1. Release of results:

  • Successful applicants will be notified by telephone on 31st March 2025 (Monday). The final application results will be released on 8th July 2025 (Tuesday) by the School Place Allocation Section of the Education Bureau.

FORM 2-6 ADMISSION APPLICATION


Applicants have to take admission tests. Selection will be based on the admission interview and the applicant’s previous academic and non-academic achievements.


Application Process


  1. Application forms can be obtained from the following channels:

  • Visit the General Office during office hours.

  • Download the application form from the school website. (Click here to download the form)


  1. Submission of application form:

  • Return it to school in person or by post.


  1. The selection of eligible applicants for admission interviews will be based on the applicant’s latest qualification documents and the information provided.


  1. The Admission interview is usually arranged within 14 working days after receipt of the application form. For applications during the summer holidays, the written test is arranged in late July.


  1. Interviews will be arranged for candidates who pass the admission test.


  1. Successful applicants will need to complete the registration formalities.


  1. Office hours:
